While there are plenty of cute coffee shops in Berlin, it’s really hard to find coworking cafés. Most cafes here don’t have free wifi and definitely don’t want you working on your laptop for hours.

So, here are my favorite work-friendly cafes that have reliable wi-fi, power outlets, delicious food, comfortable seating, and, of course, good coffee.

#1. Michelberger Café & Bar (Friedrichshain)

Highlights: Lots of space, stylish interior, outdoor seating

Downsides: Not much natural light

This is my favorite spot for remote work in Friedrichshain by far. It’s actually a cafe within a hotel, but don’t worry, it has all of the coworking vibes. Everyone is working here, from freelancers to students. And while it has an elevated feel, the space is also very relaxed, like you’re working from a living room (a really nice living room). Also, the coffee is top-notch, not your usual burnt hotel coffee.

The only downside is that there isn’t much natural lighting, which is fine in the winter because the softly lit interior is very cozy, but in the summer, it can feel a bit dark.

#2. Camino Brunch & Coffee (Prenzlauer Berg)

Highlights: Lots of tables, great brunch food, natural lighting, outdoor seating

Downsides: sometimes the wifi blocks some random websites (like Slack), no laptops on the weekends

Located in my favorite neighborhood of Berlin, Camino is a great place to work, eat, and chill. This eatery has a delicious brunch, smoothies, coffee drinks, and sweet treats. It’s one of the best cafes if you want to work somewhere more lowkey. The cafe is really only busy at peak brunch times, but besides that, it’s very calm. There are also plenty of tables and power outlets.

Note for summer: No air conditioning, but there’s outdoor seating, and they keep the windows open to let in the breeze

#3. The Barn Café Checkpoint Charlie (Kreuzberg)

Highlight: specialty coffee, plenty of power outlets, lots of seating

Downsides: seating is uncomfortable, lacks natural lighting

Another popular place for a long work session is The Barn Café. They make a good cup of coffee, offer yummy baked goods, and have reliable wifi. They have several locations, but the one in Checkpoint Charlie is my favorite because there are lots of places to sit, plenty of power outlets, and there are lots of other remote workers there (because I love the coworking vibes). The downsides are that the seats aren’t comfortable (I’m talking tiny stools) and there isn’t much natural lighting.

#4. St. Oberholz (Mitte)

Highlights: Best coworking vibes, great coffee, lots of seating

Downsides: Limited outlets, limited wifi access

Located on Rosenthaler straße, this coffee shop is the hotspot for digital nomads and freelancers. If you want a coworking space vibe, this is the place to go. I don’t think anyone even comes here just to sip a coffee, this spot is filled to the brim with remote workers.

They have great coffee, outdoor seating, lunch options, and lots of seating. But before you go, you should know that the WiFi lasts 1.5 hours, then you have to purchase something else. And speaking of WiFi, I also recommend using a VPN when working from cafés, since those networks aren’t always secure. I use Proton VPN, and you can currently get 70% off your first two years.

Note for summer: there isn’t air conditioning, but they have lots of fans and air flowing in through open windows

#5. Reeham Coffee Roasters (Charlottenburg)

Highlights: Yummy food, lots of seating

Downsides: Older interior design that isn’t super inviting

This coffee roastery in Charlottenburg is a great workspace if you like good food and chill vibes. I definitely recommend trying their bagels, croissants, and cappuccinos. The atmosphere is very much old-school coffee roastery, I can’t say the interior design feels inviting (for me), but the baristas are sweet.

#6. Distrikt Coffee (Mitte)

Highlights: Great food and coffee, spacious, outdoor seating

Downsides: Closes early-ish

I just discovered Distrikt Coffee and can’t imagine why it isn’t busier! The coffee shop is perfect for coworking it offers plenty of space, lots of seating, some outlets, and delicious coffee. Plus, the workers are also very nice. There is a note on the tables asking that you don’t use your laptop during busy hours, which I would assume is on the weekend.

Note for summer: there isn’t AC, but it doesn’t get too hot

#7. Wachmacher (Wedding)

Highlights: lots of outlets, cozy living room vibes

Downsides: coffee and pastries aren’t great, no laptops on weekends

Sadly, I was not a fan of their coffee or the pastries, but this is a very cozy coworking option. It feels like you’re in your friend’s living room, and the staff is very sweet as well.

Note for summer: No air conditioning, but the cafe doesn’t get much direct sunlight, so it stays cool. It’s honestly the coldest coffee shop I’ve found in this crazy heatwave (2026).

#8. Kiez Kaffee Kraft (Pankow)

Highlights: Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, cute garden vibes, natural lighting

Downsides: Not many outlets

If you want to feel like you’re working in a fairy house (and who doesn’t?) this is the place to go. This bright, flower-filled coffee shop is perfect for studying or working on your laptop for hours. Their specialty coffee is delicious, and the pastries are pretty tasty too. Just make sure to charge your laptop and phone before coming, there aren’t many power outlets.

#9. Coffee Circle Torstraße (Mitte)

Highlights: Lots of outlets, nice interior design, you can take meetings

Downsides: It gets packed, can be loud

Coffee Circle is a coffee shop chain in Berlin, and while it isn’t my favorite, it is a good option for working. I’ll start with the good: you can take meetings, the interior has a cozy jungle vibes feel, and there are plenty of outlets. What I don’t love is the quality of the coffee (just not for me) and how loud and busy it gets in the afternoon. If you’re coming to this location, definitely grab a spot in the morning, otherwise, you likely won’t find space.

#10. Espresso House (Prenzlauer Berg)

Highlights: AC, good place for lunch, lots of seating, outdoor seating

Downsides: Bad coffee, bad wifi

I originally didn’t add this coffee shop because it fails miserably at two key components of a good coworking cafe: coffee and wifi. HOWEVER… as it has gotten hotter in Berlin and there are hardly any cafes with AC (or even decent fans), I’ve had to reconsider. So, if you’re looking for air conditioning and have a hotspot (or don’t really need wifi), then this is actually your best bet. And while their coffee is truly terrible, their sandwiches and pastries are pretty tasty.

Note for summer: This is one of the few cafes I have found that has air conditioning (!!)
